The Extron QSD 204 is a high quality Quad Standard Decoder with a four-line adaptive comb filter that virtually eliminates chroma noise and enables a projector or monitor to display a higher quality image than that of composite video or S-video. The QSD 204 accepts composite video (NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43, SECAM, and PAL), S-video, or component video on three inputs and decodes the signals into component (Y, R-Y, B-Y) or RGB (RGsB, RGBS, or RGBHV) for output. The fourth input accepts RGBS and RGBcvS from the SCART connector found on many European DVD players. The QSD 204D model features an SDI input. Input, menu, and picture controls are selectable through the front panel or RS-232 commands. Input selection is also available through autoswitching or contact closure. Picture control settings are automatically saved for each of the four inputs including those for color, tint, contrast, brightness, centering, and top and bottom blanking. The QSD 204 is housed in a 1U, half rack width metal enclosure and is rack-mountable with an optional rack shelf.
